Our Techniques

Describing the techniques we use in our therapies

01

Bowen Therapy

The Bowen Technique is a holistic, hands-on therapy that can be performed through light clothing as well as directly on the skin. As a holistic approach, Bowen considers the body as a whole rather than focusing on a specific condition.

Using gentle rolling movements over muscles and connective tissue, Bowen aims to promote relaxation and support the body’s natural sense of balance and wellbeing.

Clients commonly seek Bowen Therapy for support with:

  • Back, neck, and shoulder discomfort

  • Muscular tension and stiffness

  • Sciatica and postural discomfort

  • Sports and work-related strain

  • Stress and tension

  • Relaxation and overall wellbeing

03

PNF Stretching

PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) is a stretching technique commonly used to support flexibility, mobility, and range of motion.

Our trained practitioners use PNF stretching techniques to help support muscular flexibility, movement, and overall physical wellbeing. PNF can be beneficial for people experiencing muscular tightness, reduced mobility, postural discomfort, or physical strain, and is also widely used by athletes as part of flexibility and mobility training.

PNF combines particularly well with Sports Massage, helping to support muscular relaxation, flexibility, and movement.

02

Sports Massage

Sports Massage uses targeted soft tissue techniques to help ease muscular tension, support circulation, and encourage relaxation following physical activity.

Regular sessions may help support recovery, mobility, flexibility, and muscle maintenance for active individuals and those experiencing muscular tension, stiffness, sports-related strain, or postural discomfort associated with work or everyday life.

04

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a widely used talking therapy that explores the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. CBT-based approaches are designed to help individuals develop practical coping strategies, improve self-awareness, and support emotional wellbeing.

CBT is commonly used to support people experiencing anxiety, stress, low mood, panic attacks, phobias, OCD, PTSD, and other emotional or behavioural difficulties.

Some potential benefits of CBT-based approaches may include:

  • Developing practical coping strategies

  • Building confidence and self-awareness

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing

  • Encouraging healthier thought and behaviour patterns
