The Helper's Hands is downright awesome! I've had a long standing issue with my knee after ACL surgery, and was in constant pain everytime I did any exercise. Torsten recommended I try the Bowen method, and whilst I was sceptical at first, after only 2 treatments I'm back playing football again with zero pain and very sturdy knee. Combined with regular massages with Edit my body is feeling better than it's done in years. Lovely, friendly service, I'd recommend a visit to Helper's Hands if you need a message or your creaky body seen to!

I have been visiting Thorsten for around 4 months now for sports massage and Bowen Therapy.
I highly recommend his treatments.
I had lots of tension in my neck, back and shoulders, and an elbow issue. He has completely treated and relaxed my muscles so I no longer feel aches, tension or pains in these areas.
I also have a long-standing pelvic/lower back issue which he has given me so much helpful information and expert knowledge on.
He only recommends the appointments he thinks you need, and explains everything he recommends fully!
I have chosen to continue to visit 4-6 weekly to keep a regular treatment going!

Again, I highly recommend visiting this lovely little family run place!

A local family run business, relaxed and professional and no pressure to sign up for unnecessary packages unlike the larger chiropractic centres. I have been meeting with Thorsten for CBT sessions over the last 2 months. The experience has been life changing, I am a 31 year old male who has suffered with social anxiety, low mood and poor self esteem for years. Thorsten took the time to listen and understand me, we have built a really good, open and honest relationship. I trust Thorsten and the support and advice he has given me has made a huge difference. I now understand myself and my behaviours a lot better and Thorsten has given me the tools to deal with things as they happen. Refreshing approach to healing injuries through a combination of sports massage and bowen therapy. Thorston talks you through everything and gives confidence that he knows exactly what he’s doing. Highly recommended.

Having had a dry tickly cough for more than three months, Thorsten suggested I try his Salt Room. After a single session, it was noticeable that I was coughing less. After my second, the cough was almost gone and now, after my third, it has gone completely! Doctors prescribed all sorts to help me deal with it, but nothing came close to the success I had with the salt room. Got to give it a go!

Thorsten has given me my life back after months of suffering from debilitating lower back pain. Before seeing the Helpers’ Hands I visited GP, physio and had months of chiropractor treatment with no relief or even a sight of any change, if anything the pain was getting worse as the time went on.
My very active lifestyle has turned into months of simply surviving each day. I visited The Helpers’ Hands and within 2 sessions of Bowen’s therapy and sports massage the pain was gone!!!! I call it magic but in reality Thorsten is an absolute pro who knows what he is doing and is very passionate about it. I just wish I visited him sooner and saved myself months of being in pain.

5 Stars. Helpers hands are amazing. After suffering from capol tunnel for 2 years after having my daughter, whilst being a hairdresser and a mum I was left suffering sleepless nights waking up in pain. I had at least 5 steroid injections over this time. Which temporarily fixed this issue only for it to return.
Thorsten and his lovely wife Edit have given me my life back. After only 3 sessions I have been fixed no pain no problem. I cant thank them enough. I highly recommend them. I have also known a few other people who have gone there since and also had there problems fixed quickly.

Having suffered with pain in my left buttock for years and years I had almost given up trying to find a treatment that would help relieve my pain until one day it was so bad, I reached out to people in my local gym community looking for a recommendation for a sports massage and someone recommended The Helper’s Hand. Unknown to myself, my pelvis was drastically out and I had been walking around and training like that for years! No wonder it hurt! I had even had MRI scans and not once did anyone tell me this!! After just 3 treatments, my pelvis has stayed in place and the pain has gone. It’s almost like a miracle! The treatments themselves are not unpleasant, slightly uncomfortable at times, but absolutely worth every second and every penny! Thorsten and his son are very welcoming and I will definitely be going back just for a nice relaxing sports massage again in the future! Highly recommend

my wife has had long term trouble with her knee so much so that southmead hospital were going to book her in for an operation, trouble was we knew it was going to be a long wait, meantime we had a chat with Thorsten and he thought he could help to keep the pain down to a manageable level until we had a date for the op..
well... she started having treatment with Thorsten and on her very 1st appointment walked out pain free, it was remarkable.. after a couple more sessions it's been a complete turnaround.. southmead hospital examined her after the treatment and were quite happy to discharge her.. she visits Thorsten once a month now and has had treatment with Edit as well using the hot stones which she says is well worth it.... she is happily walking no problem now.... She was saved from the surgeons knife and now a lot happier as well...
You have nothing to lose, Thorsten will be honest with you, if you're in pain, give him a call, it might be the best thing you ever done...!!

I was unfortunate to suffer a stroke last November and struggled to walk due to restricted movement in my leg, especially my ankle. I went to Helpers’ Hands for some advice.
Thorsten examined my posture and noticed that my back was out of line and had very restricted movement in my ankle. He explained the actions needed in clear simple terms and made me feel very confident in his work. After a few sessions on my ankle and some ‘Bowen’ treatment I was back to 95% movement in my ankle and I am walking upright and with more confidence. I would recommend Helpers’ Hands to anyone that have problems with posture or walking problems to give them a call.
