CBT ( Cognitive behavioral therapy )

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a widely used talking therapy that explores the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. CBT-based approaches are designed to help individuals develop practical coping strategies, improve self-awareness, and support emotional wellbeing.

CBT is commonly used to support people experiencing:

  • Low mood

  • Panic attacks

  • Phobias

  • OCD

  • PTSD

  • Confidence and self-esteem challenges

  • Emotional or behavioural difficulties

Some potential benefits of CBT-based approaches may include:

  • Becoming more aware of negative thought patterns

  • Building confidence and self-esteem

  • Developing practical coping strategies

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing

  • Improving emotional awareness and resilience

  • Encouraging healthier behavioural patterns

We offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) sessions alongside a 15-minute Salt Room relaxation session either before or after therapy. The calming environment of the Salt Room is designed to help clients feel relaxed and comfortable as part of their overall wellbeing experience.

Thorsten is a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (Dip. SNHS Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
